Emergency contraception is a safe and effective method, ensuring responsible pregnancy prevention when regular methods fail.
In Ireland, women aged 17-30 can avail of free emergency contraception in their local pharmacy, like Flynn's Pharmacy, with no prescription needed.

  • Our trained Pharmacists invite you into our private care room and carry out a consultation.
  • They assess your eligibility through a short questionnaire and discuss medication options.
  • If Emergency Contraception is suitable, our pharmacist will provide you with the appropriate medication; if it is not, they will provide advice and support.

  • If you had unprotected sex within the last 120 hours (five days), if your condom broke, or if there's a concern about the effectiveness of your regular contraception (e.g., missed birth control pill or recent vomiting).
